Small jobs
A leaking chimney, a few lifted shingles, a clogged gutter, a porch roof. We take the call. You do not need a full replacement to get on the schedule.
Brookline Roofing & Sheet Metal, in affiliation with E.P. Linnehan Contracting. Leak calls, modern shingle and rubber roofs, roof decks, and historic slate and copper. Same crew, every size of job, in Brookline, Newton, Chestnut Hill, and nearby towns.
A leaking chimney, a few lifted shingles, a clogged gutter, a porch roof. We take the call. You do not need a full replacement to get on the schedule.
Architectural asphalt shingles, rubber, EPDM, and other low-slope systems for newer homes, additions, and buildings that were never slate. This is core work, not a fallback.
Leaks, slipped slate, lifted shingles, flashing, and storm damage. We find the source, not just the stain on the ceiling.
Shingle, rubber, slate, copper, and tin. Tear-off and install sized to the house, from a simple gable to the steep roofs and dormers common in Brookline and Newton.
Copper gutters, flashing, and sheet metal that suit older homes and move water off the roof and away from the walls.
A deck on the roof is a roofing job first. Membrane, flashing, drains, and the railing posts have to stay watertight. We build and rebuild those decks, including the ones over flat roofs in Brookline and Chestnut Hill.
Rubber and built-up systems for additions, porches, and commercial roofs in Brookline Village, Coolidge Corner, and Newton Centre.
Single-family homes and multi-unit buildings. Clean job sites and a clear scope before work starts.
Related building work can be coordinated through E.P. Linnehan Contracting, including licensed home-improvement projects.
Some houses in Brookline, Chestnut Hill, and Newton want the original roof kept: slate, copper valleys, tin, and old gutter lines. We do that work. It is one part of the business, not a filter on who we take.
Slipped or cracked slate, failed flashing, and open copper joints are often repairable. We salvage sound slate and match the patch instead of stripping a roof that still has decades left.
Slate, copper, and tin where the house already has them. When a full replacement is the honest answer, the new roof follows the existing pitch, exposure, and metal details.
Work in a local historic district, or on a house under review, may need a material and color match. We write the scope so you can take it to the commission or your architect before anyone tears off.
Brookline has local historic districts, including Cottage Farm, Pill Hill, and others along Beacon Street. Chestnut Hill and Newton have their own review rules. We do not file as a preservation architect. We build the roof the approval describes.
Brookline, Chestnut Hill, Newton, Wellesley, Needham, Weston, and the Boston line. Beacon Street, Fisher Hill, Chestnut Hill Avenue, and Newton Centre are regular calls.
